    The Stave Church Preservation Programme

    In 2001, the Directorate for Cultural Heritage in Norway initiated a programme to restore all the stave churches in the country. The project was completed in 2015.

Directorate for Cultural Heritage

The Directorate for Cultural Heritage is responsible for the management of all archaeological and architectural monuments and sites and cultural environments in accordance with relevant legislation.
